WINTOUR COORDINATORS

The WINTOUR master has a general coordinator and local coordinators at each university.

                                                                                                                                           

Gemma Beltran (URV). General Coordinator

European PhD on Oenology at URV (2005). Postdoctoral Positions at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) of Toulouse (France, 1 year), and the University of Göteborg (Sweden, 2 years). Assistant Professor at Universitat Rovira i Virgili (since 2008). Researcher in Wine Biotechnology Group (URV, Spain). Coordinator of French Spanish-Master in Oenology (since 2011), coordinator of the MSc on Alcoholic Beverages (since 2014), and the Specialization Courses on Brewing (since 2014) and on Sparkling Wine Production (Since 2015). Participation on the European Projects AMPKIN (FP6), WILDWINE (FP7) and WineSys (FP7). Tutor of Master and PhD Thesis; PI National Grants.

Jorge de Queiroz. Local Coordinator (UP)

Assistant Professor at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto (Portugal). Electrical Engineer (1980), Master in Viticulture and Oenology (1997) and PhD in Agrarian Sciences - Specialization in Viticulture and Oenology (2002). Researcher in GREENUPORTO - SUSTAINABLE AGRIFOOD PRODUCTION RESEARCH CENTER, principally involved in Training Systems studies, Mountain Viticulture, Fortified Wines and Wine Tourism. President of the Organization Committee of the "18th International Symposium GiESCO 2013". Viticulturist and Winemaker in the Douro Region (Port Wine and Douro AOC Wines). Director of the Master in Viticulture and Oenology (FCUP). Tutor of PhDs and Master Thesis in Viticulture and Oenology (Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto) and experience in coordination and participation in National and International Projects.

Pierre-Louis Teissedre. Local Coordinator (UBx)

Oenologist (1989), Master (1990) and PhD from the University Montpellier 1 (1993). Full Professor in the ISVV (Institute of Vines and Wines Science) since 2005 and Adjunct Director of the Mixed Research Unit Œnologie (2005-2011). Research group leader of the applied Chemistry Laboratory. Expert in Technology group and Scientific Secretary of the «Safety and Health» Commission of the OIV (1994 to present). PhD Thesis direction (18). Leader of national and international industrial and research projects. Director of the Oenologist National Diploma (since 2007), Coordinator of French Spanish-Master in Oenology (since 2011). Erasmus-Socrates Coordinator (since 2005). Head Coordinator of OENOVITI International network since 2010. Head of IP Erasmus OENOBIO 2014.

Nashidil Rouiaï. Local Coordinator (UBx)

PhD in Cultural Geography and Geopolitics with Highest Honors from University Paris-Sorbonne. Postdoctoral position (2 years) at École Supérieure d’Agricultures d’Angers. Associate Professor and researcher at the ISVV since 2020. Research activity, with several publications and conference presentations about her work on the following fields of study: wine tourism, terroir, wine landscapes, wine culture and heritage, wine and popular culture, among others. 


 

Salvador Anton. Local Coordinator (URV)

Full Professor of Regional Geographical Analysis at the Rovira i Virgili University, Director of Research at the Science & Technology Park for Tourism and Leisure of Catalonia and Research Scholar at the International Institute of Tourism Studies at the George Washington University in Washington DC. Past visiting researcher at the universities of Exeter and Nottingham (UK) and Rutgers (USA). Invited lecturer at the universities of Paris Est and Angers (FR). Past director/dean of the Tourism and Leisure School/Faculty of Tourism and Geography at the Rovira i Virgili University. His research concentrates on analyzing the evolution of coastal tourist destinations, urban and regional tourism analysis and planning, the development of leisure and theme parks, and issues concerning ICT and tourism.
